It feels so good to be back in Taiping. The air, the food, the bed, the environment, the stray dog smelling my ass, the people... except the hot weather. But it looks like it's gonna rain. No, not now please cos I wanna go out for dinner!

This place is one of the place which can take my mind of from work and the stress. Man, if only they have good promising job here in Taiping, I would seriously think of coming back here to work. But what job can I do here? Man...

Visited one Indian family just now. When to see 2 baby nephews; 1mth old and 2 mths old. Cutie pies!! Adorable giler!

Soon I'll be heading back to KL tomorrow noon. Why time flies so fast? :(

Work is no more as fun as it used to be. Feel so sick of it most of the time. Thanks so shitty clients!

Less than 24 hours in Taiping. I better enjoy myself to the fullest.

    5-hours 20 artistes T-Music Festival Concert
    Tuesday, September 15, 2009
    -edited-

    Date: 12 Sept 2009
    Time: 7pm
Venue: Outdoor Stadium, Bukit Jalil, KL
Event: T-Music Festival, in conjunction with Galaxy 15th Anniversay

    Excited! Excited! Excited!

That was how I felt when I heard about this concert. We bought the ticket somewhere in the beginning of Aug, we were one of the early-birds. Kia-su la tu.. =D

    20 artistes from the Chinese music industry around the world participated in this concert;
    - Eric Lim, Z-Chen, Manhand, Rickman, Andrew Tan, Kay from Malaysia
    - Chen Wei Lian from Singapore
    - James and Chin from Thailand
    - David Tao, Sam Lee and Power Station from Taiwan
    - Soler from Macau
    - Hoi Meng Wai and Liu Li Yang from China
    - Justin Lo, Khalil Fong, Kay Tse, Kenny Kwan, Joey Yeung from Hong Kong

Yup... all 20 of them and the day before the concert, I was told by Soo Hui that Crossfire is gonna perform together with Power Station as backup band during the show! How am I not feel double-excited? So, it's 21 artistes in total, although Crossfire was only the backup band. I am already happy enough that they were given the opportunity to perform in such big, international event ;)

I told Jim Loo (guitarist of Crossfire) to smile and wave to us if he saw us during the concert (I know it sounds lame) and he asked us to shout (when do we not shout uh?) Anyway, I got Power Station and Justin's paper board ready with me (I made them when they came to Penang for a 988 fm concert, can't remember what concert was that :S) and I got Crossfire light board with me, too.

Reached the stadium at about 6pm. We went in at about 6.50pm and went to look for our seats. WOAH!!! That's good seat. Satisfied ;) As time goes by, more and more people filled up the stadium. Justin Lo and David Tao's fans club were 2 rows in front of us and Joey Yeung's fans club were a row in front of us. Behind us was Kay Tse and Khalil Fong's fans. Hmm, who's fans are we? We are the G.I.B. from O.S.F.C. ;)

This was the shape of the stage-roof. What shape do you think it is? I think it's the shape of the beer bottle cap, as Tiger Beer was one of the sponsors.

The concert stated at about 7.30pm with Andrew Tan opening the show. Followed by Rickman, Chen Wei Lian and James.

    Rickman from Malaysia

    Chen Wei Lian from Singapore

    James from Thailand

Up next was Manhand. Daeren's mic was not functioning properly. What a waste. But he managed to grab the mic from DJ Point towards the end of their performance. Bravo guys! I guess a lot of Malaysian now know how good they are, memang got HK standard le.

Manhand (left to right: Von, DJ Point, McBee, McToy, Darren) from Malaysia

After Manhand, it was Soler!!! Man, they rocked the stadium with their own band members from Hong Kong, Siew Meng the bassist and Yat Ting the drummer. You should see how the platform-stage moved out from the backstage to the front, with both Dino and Julio and their band members on it. HOT!

Soler (left: Julio, right: Dino) from Macau

After 2 groups performances, it was Hoi Meng Wai's turn. Man, he really looks like Cheung Kah Fai. In case you don't know who's Hoi Meng Wai, he is the male singer who duet the song 'Ngo Dek Wui Yek Pat Si Ngo Dek' [我的回憶不是我的] with Vincy Yeung. That song was originally a solo song by Hoi Meng Wai before he duet with Vincy. When he sang that song during the concert, he was surprised that the audience sang with him. Gee, I guess many of the artistes were fool by us as they did not know there were lyrics on the two big screens beside the stage. Oh well, I guess for such popular song, the audience also can sing along without lyrics le. He was very happy that people know his song and he mentioned that this was the only Cantonese song in his album and it is more popular that the other Mandarin songs. Haha.

    Hoi Meng Wai from China

Kenny Kwan came out after that. Hmm, I was quite surprised that he didn't get the attention that I assumed he would.

    Kenny Kwan from Hong Kong

Who's next? I saw the platform-stage moved to the front. Hey, I recognized those people! It's Crossfire and Power Station. Excited sungguh!! Light board and paper board all up. But there were some techical problem with Chiu Hsin's guitar and they took awhile to fixed the cable. In the meantime, Crossfire started jamming while waiting for the cable to be fixed. Not bad. Watch the video recorded by Fish here
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPnfSYkxloM

Power Station (in white from left: Chih Lin, right: Chiu Hsin) from Taiwan
Crossfire (from left to right: Elwy (guitarist), Wei Wei (keyboardist), Jeff (bassist), Kit (drummer), Jim (guitarist)) from Malaysia

And uh... I saw someone smiling. Very 'theng wah' wor. No waved, but it's ok. Haha..

I only on the light board for awhile. Pai seh le, since Power Station was the main attention here and there's only a paper board for them as compared to light board for Crossfire :P

    Chiu Hsin, Jeff and Jim

Power Station's performance was the longest, as they performed medley. I don't know about others, but I enjoyed it very much. Very HOT and HIGH! There were 2 things I regreted the most here.

    1. I didn't get to record their performance as I was caught twice by the 'aler' people. Only managed to capture this 20sec miserable clip
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oZwJgyzzCs
    and this is from Fish
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVcC2Ram2hE

    2. Crossfire was not introduced by the emcee. And guess what, people thought Crossfire is the band brought by Power Station from Taiwan! Even Sin Chew paper wrote that, too. Haha.

Up next was Liu Li Yang. Gee, her baju was kinda weird.

    Liu Li Yang from China

Next was Chin. In less than a minute after the music starts, it stops. And seconds later the whole stadium was in total darkness. And we saw fire on the left side of the stadium.

As quoted from The Star on Sept 14

While some fans claimed that they saw a fire during the power failure, a spokesman of the organisers denied this and said the power failure was caused by a fuse problem.

Oh yea.. b*llsh*t. Read Joshuaongys' blog if you don't know the difference between cable on fire and fuse problem. Deng!

    Darkness

Those fans in front and behind us started to on their light boards. OH MY GOD!!

Their action caught the reporters attention and we quickly covered our faces with the paper boards that we had.

The emcees, Nicholas and Ngan Mei Yan from Myfm and Cheung King Fung from TVB, HK, came out with bullhorn to calm down the audience but it was not successful. Artistes that have yet to perform were called on stage one by one to interract and entertain the crowd; Z-Chen, Eric Lim, Sam Lee, Justin Lo, Khalil Fung, Kay Tse and David Tao.

    Eric Lim with "我聽見有人叫你寶貝"
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLV91zZ-k-M

    David Tao with "愛,很簡單"
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2U5k3mD_Rk

And the power came back before David Tao finished his 'session'. Oh yea, the DT power!! The emcees called Chin back on stage to continue with his performance. While they waited for the audio to run, the emcees asked Chin to sing.

When the audio was ready, Chin continued to entertain the crowd. Woh, his dance, his body! Fui yoh! He brought 2 Thai dances with him; sexy!

    Chin from Thailand

The concert continued with Kay, Eric Lim, Khalil Fung and Z-Chen.

    Eric Lim from Malaysia

    Eric Lim "我聽見有人叫你寶貝" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoYT1-1tCg4

    Khalil Fung from Hong Kong

    Z-Chen from Malaysia

And I didn't know Z-Chen can dance so well!!!

Oh, guess what. After the blackout, the security was not that tight and I can record some of the performances in peace!

Sam Lee, the king of K-song was up next to entertain the crowd.

    Sam Lee from Taiwan

Now, it's time for Kay Tse and Justin Lo.

    Kay Tse from Hong Kong

    Justin Lo from Hong Kong

    Cutie-pie :P

He was sweating after the first 2 fast songs. He took off his jacket, but before that he said he was told by his colleague not to take off this jacket as he's fat. He said he doesn't care cos he's too HOT!

    Justin Lo "决战二世祖" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeVM6K6y6jM
    Justin Lo "命硬" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFoC39dHJrM
    Justin Lo "男人KTV" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dbz-VM_vGRM

After his 3rd song, he said it's good to sweat, can 'kam fei'. Haha.

    Jeng jeng jeng!!! DAVID TAO!!!

    David Tao from Taiwan

After all this years, he still look so young and energetic! I just love his energy!

And I love his new song, "暗戀". It's just so.... David! Haha.. And I am listening to this songs while blogging this whole post. Yea, you can imagine how many rounds I've been listening to it.

Yes, YOU!! Pointing to his fans, Taofusion

    David Tao "暗戀" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46GwuDjnNzc
    David Tao "找自己" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IBAr0J6Gyw
    David Tao "愛,很簡單" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSdsnCdwkZg

After David's performance, many people started to leave the stadium.

Joey Yeung closed the concert with 4 songs.

    Joey Yeung from Hong Kong

The 5 hours concert end up to be a almost 6 hours concert, thanks to the half an hour black out. The concert ended at 1.30am.

Come to think back, why was there a fire? Because got 'power' and 'fire' together on stage before the cable caught fire lo. Haha. LAME, I know. And if you know Power Station's chinese name, there's a word 'fire' there too. Hahaha..

In total, I had a wonderful time, it was a blast!!
